- decide, whether your customers are allowed to upload their own designs
- adjust the shop layout to your website or blog
- create a starting product which loads with your shop
Designer shop set up
You need to create a new shop within the user area “My Account” under “ Shops ”. This shop will be created with the designer layout. It is not possible to transform a classic shop into a designer shop and vice versa.
It is also possible to choose a starting product which will appear when someone enters your designer shop. Go to “My Account” > “ Products ” and select the designer shop from the dropdown list at the top left. The first product which appears in the list is your starting product.
Add designs
The navigation point 'design' in the Designer Shop will show you all the designs that you have uploaded to it. To keep it organised, you can create categories and allocate designs to them. Go to 'My account' > “ Designs ” > 'My Categories'.; Note – this feature is only available if you have already pre-selected a shop with the navigation bar.
To allocate a design to a category, click on 'My Designs'.; Click on the checkbox next to the design and scroll down to the end of the page. In the drop-down menu, select 'Move to category' and then choose the category you want to move it to.
You can select whether to display all of your Spreadshirt marketplace designs in your Designer or not. Go to 'Shops' > 'Layout' and choose a designer shop in the upper navigation bar. The section 'Designer' will allow you to change the settings. However, you cannot select marketplace categories individually.
Prices and commission
The basic prices in the designer shop differ from those in the classic shop. Those in the designer are end customer prices and they are fixed prices. You receive a 20% commission for every net sale made from your designer shop.
